Top Prospects Game Activities Begin

Five Tri-City Storm players are in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for the USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game on Tuesday, January 10. Wyatt Bongiovanni, Adam Goodsir, Alex Limoges, Dayton Rasmussen and Paul Washe will participate in on-ice testing Monday. Tuesday’s game will be broadcast on ushl.HockeyTV.com and the puck drop is at 7:05 p.m. Last season, the Storm’s Wade Allison won Team West MVP, scoring one goal and two points while lined up next to former Tri-City teammate Carson Meyer.

Over the weekend, Tri-City split the weekend with the Des Moines and doused the Buccaneers on Friday, 9-1. The win was the Storm’s third-highest-scoring game ever and the largest win since 2002. Tri-City won, 10-1, in November 2002 against Green Bay and defeated Rochester, 11-1, in January 2001.

This Friday and Saturday, Tri-City travels to Bloomington for a pair of games against the Thunder. It is the Storm’s second trip to Bloomington and first since the Thunder’s inaugural USHL season in 2014-15. Tri-City has an all-time record of 2-0-1-1 against the Thunder.

After the road trip, the Storm is home for three games. On Friday, January 20, Tri-City hosts Sioux City for NE Farm Bureau Night, featuring a $5 Kids Friday, with a 7:05 p.m. puck drop. Saturday, January 21, Tri-City and Omaha tangle at the Viaero Center at 7:05 p.m. for “Taste of Nebraska” Night, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings. Fans will have the chance to sample the best food in central Nebraska from local vendors. Check out a postgame skate after the game.

On Tuesday, January 24, the Storm has a rematch at the Viaero Center against the Lancers, featuring a 7:05 p.m. puck drop.
