KEARNEY, NE - Twelve former Tri-City Storm players have made National Hockey League (NHL) opening night rosters.
The Storm place fourth among all USHL organizations in alumni on active NHL rosters to start the new season, trailing only the USNTDP (80 active NHL players), Dubuque (18), and Chicago (14).
More than 180 former USHL players are on NHL opening night rosters to begin the 2024-25 campaign.
Three NHL regular season games, the first to take place in North America this season, will be played tonight. The St. Louis Blues visit the Seattle Kraken at 3:30 pm CT. The defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers host the Boston Bruins at 6:00 pm CT. The Utah Hockey Club will take on the Chicago Blackhawks in Salt Lake City at 9:00 pm CT.
