Cameron Korpi recorded his eighth win of the year in net for the Storm. Tri-City returns to action Saturday night in another showdown against Waterloo in the team's annual Military Appreciation Night Game. Tickets for the event are available for purchase online at

Nolan Roed scored his sixth goal of the season with less than a minute to play in Friday's opening period to give the Storm a one-goal advantage in the matchup. Roed's goal was netted on the powerplay, and was assisted by
August Falloon and
Vladislav Lukashevich. The Storm outshot the Black Hawks 11-5 during the 1
st period, and carried a 1-0 lead into Friday's middle period.
The opening goal of the 2
nd period was scored only forty-eight seconds in by
Philippe Blais-Savoie. The goal was his second of the season, and was assisted by
Artemi Nizameyev and
Vladislav Lukashevich.
August Falloon scored his team-leading ninth goal of the year at 12:01 of Friday's 2
nd period to give the Storm a 3-0 lead in the battle.
Alexander Bales and Nolan Roed each recorded an assist on the scoring play. The final goal of the 2
nd period was scored by
Dallas Vieau with under four minutes to play. Vieau's goal was netted at 16:49 of the middle period, and was assisted by
Charlie Kinsman and
Cam Briere. The Storm outshot the Black Hawks 14-9 in the 2
nd period, and the 3
rd period began with Tri-City leading by a 4-0 score.
Griffin Erdman netted his third goal of the season at 9:41 of the 3
rd period to cut into the Storm's advantage in the matchup. Erdman's goal was assisted by John Mustard and Jakub Altrichter.
Artemi Nizameyev netted his fourth goal of the season at 13:31 of Friday's 3
rd period to give Tri-City a 5-1 lead in the contest. Nolan Roed and
Seth Constance each notched an assist on the scoring play. The Storm's final goal of the game was scored by
Carmelo Crandell at 14:22 of the 3
rd period. Crandell's scoring play was his first career USHL goal.
Luke Posthumus and A.J Lacroix recorded an assist on the opening goal of Crandell's career with the Storm. Waterloo's final scoring play of the night was a powerplay goal netted by Grady Deering at 16:43 of the 3
rd period. Deering's goal was his second of the season, and was assisted by Jake Delaney. Each team recorded seven shots on net in Friday's 3
rd period, and the Storm outshot the Black Hawks by an overall margin of 32-21 during the matchup.
Cameron Korpi improved to 8-3-0-0 in net this season for Tri-City after making 19 saves on Waterloo's 21 shots on net during the matchup. Calvin Vachon dropped the game in goal for the Black Hawks in a 26-save-on-32-shot performance in goal. The Storm improved to 8-6-1-0 on the season in the victory.
Tri-City will host the Black Hawks again Saturday night for the organization's annual "Military Appreciation Night" presented by the Nebraska Warriors. Tri-City will wear specialty sweaters during the event that will be auctioned off following the matchup. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Nebraska Warriors.
