LINCOLN, NE – The Tri-City Storm defeated the Lincoln Stars by a final score of 5-3 Wednesday night at the Ice Box.

August Falloon netted goals for the Storm in the pre-Thanksgiving battle.
Trevor Connelly netted his fifth goal of the season just over a minute into Wednesday's 1
st period to give the Storm a 1-0 advantage in the matchup.
Jake Rozzi notched his thirteenth assist of the season on the scoring play. Lincoln responded at 7:33 of the 1
st period with Keaton Peters' first goal of the year. Peters' goal was assisted by Nikolas Young and Justin Varner.
Owen Beckner scored his fifth goal of the season at 15:29 of Wednesday's opening period to give Tri-City a 2-1 lead in the rivalry matchup.
Alexander Bales recorded the lone assist on Beckner's powerplay goal.
A.J. Lacroix netted his fourth goal of the year less than a minute later to give the Storm a two-goal lead.
Shaun McEwen and
August Falloon each collected an assist on the scoring play. Tri-City outshot Lincoln 14-10 during the 1
st period, and the Storm carried a 3-1 lead into the 2
nd period.
Kai Janviriya netted his first goal of the year at 8:07 of Wednesday's middle period to bring the Stars within one goal of the Storm's lead. The scoring play was assisted by Keaton Peters and Reese Shaw.
August Falloon scored his team-leading eleventh goal of the season at 16:55 of the 2
nd period to give Tri-City a 4-2 advantage in the battle.
Philippe Blais-Savoie recorded the lone assist on the scoring play. The final goal of Wednesday's middle period was scored by Adam Kleber with less than a second to play. Kleber's goal was his third of the season, and was netted on the powerplay at 19:59 of the 2
nd period. Tanner Henricks and Blake Montgomery each notched an assist on the goal. The Stars outshot the Storm 15-10 in the 2
nd period, but trailed by a 4-3 score entering Wednesday's 3
rd period.
The lone goal of Saturday's final period was scored into an empty net by
Trevor Connelly with under a minute to play to seal the Storm's two-goal road victory. The scoring play was Connelly's second goal of the game, and sixth goal of the 2023-2024 regular season. Each team recorded 9 shots on net during Wednesday's 3
rd period. The Storm outshot the Stars by an overall margin of 32-31 during the contest. Tri-City improved to 11-7-1-0 on the season in the win.
Cameron Korpi stopped 28 of Lincoln's 31 shots on net to collect the win in goal for the Storm. Lucas Massie made 27 saves on 31 shots and dropped the game in goal for Lincoln.

st, and Saturday, December 2
