KEARNEY, Neb. -- Tri-City Storm forward Artemi Nizameyev has been named United States Hockey League (USHL) Forward of the Week.
The Miami commit put up six points during Tri-City's home-and-home series with Lincoln last weekend. At the Ice Box on Friday, Nizameyev recorded two goals and two assists. Saturday in Kearney, the Russia native produced one goal and one assist.
In his last six games, Nizameyev has put up a whopping nine goals and seven assists, totaling 16 points. His current six-game goal streak is the longest active among all USHL players and tied for the longest by a USHL player this season.
Nizameyev continues to lead the league in goals (22), points (38), and game-winning goals (6). His 1.36 points per game also place first among all USHL players.
This is Nizameyev's second time being named USHL Forward of the Week during the 2024-2025 campaign. He also earned the honor on December 2 following a seven-point two-game series at Green Bay. Tri-City's Nolan Roed was named USHL Forward of the Week on November 25 after a seven-point three-game home set against Fargo.
Last season, Nizameyev put up a team second-best 49 points in 50 games with the Storm. The right-shot player began his USHL career with Tri-City during the 2022-2023 campaign, when he appeared in 52 games.
Nizameyev announced his Miami commitment in late October, becoming one of four Storm players who plan to compete collegiately with the RedHawks.
Tri-City returns to action on Friday, December 27 in Omaha and Saturday, December 28 in Lincoln after the USHL holiday break.
